What Is Bus WiFi?
Bus WiFi is a managed onboard Internet service that allows passengers to connect their phones, tablets or laptops to a wireless network during a journey.
For operators managing multiple vehicles, different WiFi configurations can be organized while administration remains centralized.
Bus WiFi
WiFi Hotspot transforms an onboard WiFi network into a managed passenger Internet service.
Passengers can connect through a branded Splash Page while operators control session duration, bandwidth, download and upload speeds and other Internet access limits.
Bus WiFi can also be used to share useful information, collect passenger feedback and display relevant promotions during the journey.
Different buses or groups of vehicles can use their own WiFi settings, branding and campaigns while being managed from a centralized platform.

How Bus WiFi works?

When a passenger connects to the onboard wireless network, a branded Splash Page opens automatically on the device.
The operator can select the appropriate login method and define the passenger experience before Internet access is provided. Depending on the configuration, passengers can receive free access, provide requested information, complete a survey or interact with selected content.
After login, WiFi Hotspot applies the configured Internet Plan, including session duration, available data and download or upload speed.
Passengers can then continue to the Internet, a Welcome Page or another selected destination.
The same platform can manage different WiFi configurations for individual buses, routes or groups of vehicles.

Engage Passengers During the Journey

Passenger WiFi provides an additional communication channel while travelers are connected to the onboard network.
Use branded Splash Pages and WiFi campaigns to display information, promotions, partner offers or other relevant content.
Different campaigns can be assigned to different buses or groups of vehicles, making it possible to adapt communication to specific services or routes.
Video Ads can be included when visual advertising is appropriate, but they do not need to define the entire passenger WiFi experience.
With appropriate contact permission, collected customer information can also be used for follow-up campaigns. Surveys can collect passenger feedback, while statistics help operators understand WiFi usage and activity.
